Currently, Puerto Vallarta’s city sign is on the Malecon boardwalk near the main plaza and arches. The PV sign was unveiled back in 2016 during the World Tourism Day events.  Designed and created by  Carlos Terres, a talented sculptor and artist, Terres is the same artist that replaced the destroyed crown at the city’s main church. PV Opens Center for Respiratory Diseases

The Center for Respiratory Diseases has opened in Banderas Bay. The innovative medical facility was quickly constructed in response to the coronavirus and COVID-19 epidemic. While recent statistics indicate that Mexico has not been as affected as other countries, it is difficult to completely stop the spread of the coronavirus. However, if everyone works together we can reduce the spread and flatten the curve. The first Center for Respiratory Diseases is now open in Banderas Bay. The Center is a safe place to assist sick people with COVID-19 or other respiratory diseases. The center has plenty of ventilators, advanced technology, and top Banderas Bay specialists are available.

Center Was Quickly Constructed

The Center for Respiratory Diseases in Banderas Bay was quickly constructed with the help of local Dr. Amando Joya. He is also the CEO of Grupo Medico Joya, and works with SANMARE Healthcare Group, too. Construction started on March 24th, 2020 and the center opened on April 6th, 2020. Up to eighteen patients can be treated at one time at the center. The new Respiratory Center is situated next to San Javier Hospital in Puerto Vallarta. The opening of the Center of Respiratory Diseases is considered a major milestone for the area. The center includes isolated rooms for patients with intensive care needs.
